2015 Business Development Summer Internship Opportunity Loci Controls, Inc. is looking to hire one business development student intern for the summer of 2015. Students will report directly to the Director of Business Development and will have the opportunity to interact with all Loci employees, including the CEO. Anticipated Start Date: Length of Internship: Internship Location: Compensation: June 8, 2015 (Flexible) 10-12 Weeks 28 Dane Street – Somerville, MA 02143 (Greentown Labs) This will be a paid internship. We intend to utilize the MassTech Internship Partnership (or similar) to subsidize the cost of this internship. Primary Responsibilities Intern will be given an internship-long project (or projects) that she/he will own for the entire duration of the internship. Student will present the results of their project to the Loci team at the conclusion of the internship. Examples of projects are: o Sales strategy and development of a sales funnel (includes development of an inbound strategy) o Customer research including development of a survey and reaching out to leads to get the survey completed. o Outreach and communications strategy for a range or key stakeholders (employees, investors, clients, the public, etc.) o Specific projects may be developed based on suggestions by the intern, assuming they suit the needs of the company. Assist the Director of business development with a wide range of day to day tasks. Qualifications Student must: Be able to provide their own travel to and from Loci’s office at the above stated internship location. Have their own laptop computer for use during the duration of the internship. Be enrolled in a business related graduate program. Strong preference will be given to MBA candidate’s. Company Description Loci Controls was founded in 2012 by graduate students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Loci manufactures an automatic monitoring and control device used to optimize the production of landfill gas. In 2013, more electricity was generated in the US from landfill gas-to-energy operations than from the domestic solar industry!
