Rules and Conditions for the Jamaica Darts Association Rum Bar National Darts League 2015-2016 1/3 Rules & Conditions of Play Each participating team must have paid its entry fee in full and each team member must be a member of the Jamaica Darts Association before being eligible to play. Each team may comprise a maximum of eight (8) players and a minimum of four (4) including at least one (1) female. A female must play i n t h e M i x e d T r i o a nd Mi x e d D o u b l e s ga m e s . A team which is unable to field a female player for any of the mandatory mixed games will forfeit the game(s). At least three players including a female must be present before a match may commence. Prior to the start of each match day each team Manager/Captain must register the available players to the League Secretariat/Administrators to ensure eligibility. While not encouraged, special provisions may be made for players to complete the application for membership and pay dues on match day where necessary. A team may substitute a new eligible player for a rostered player or add an additional eligible player to the roster by giving notice to the League Secretariat/Administrators at the start of match day. All matches will be started on time. Where absolutely necessary a ten (10) minute grace period will be granted on the agreement of both participating captains. If a team has a complement which satisfies the minimum criteria for participation (3 males & 1 female) no grace period will be allowed to facilitate the arrival of any other player. Where an entire team is not at the venue for the start of a match, a twenty (20) minute grace period will be granted after which time the match point will be awarded to the opposing team. Competing teams are required to provide scorers for games in which they are not involved. The Tournament Director may devise a mechanism to distribute scoring duties equitably among participating teams. Other Conditions All players Must be appropriately dressed for Darts i.e. closed front footwear (no flip-flops or sandals). No head gear should be worn while throwing except those worn for religious reasons. All players must conduct themselves in a manner which is consistent with the standard norms and etiquette of the game. Players must refrain from using abusive language, interfering with players while they are throwing or otherwise barracking the opponents. There must be no smoking in the playing areas. All coaching must be done off the oche (call the player from the oche) 2/3 Format of League The league will be played on a round-robin basis with each team playing each other twice. Each team will therefore play a maximum of sixteen (16) matches. All games will be 501 Best-of-3. Each match will comprise the following three (3) sets: Trio - 1 Mixed Trio Doubles - 1 Doubles & 1 Mixed Doubles Singles - 4 Singles The sets will be played in the order of Mixed Trio, Doubles and Singles. The winner of the most games in a match wins the match. All seven (7) games in a match will be played to facilitate the collection of complete player performance data and facilitate the possibility for objective incentive awards. Applicable Rules and Dispute Resolution Unless otherwise stated the rules of the Caribbean Dart Organization and the World Darts Federation will apply. An Adjudicating Committee designated by the Executive of the Jamaica Darts Association will settle all disputes presented by team captains. ALL rulings are final. Points System One (1) point will be awarded for each match win. The overall winner will be the team with the most points. In the case of two or more teams topping the table with the same number of points, the following will be used to determine the overall winner in the order below: 1.
