June Newsletter - Willow`s Leap Equestrian

advertisement
Hi all, and welcome to our June newsletter!
You've been added to our mailing list because either you've been here before,
emailed us about coming here before, or bought our photos at an event.
If you do not wish to receive these monthly emails about eventing clinics,
event photographs, jump building and general horsey news, please follow the
unsubscribe details at the bottom of the page.
Unusually, it’s been a pretty quiet month here. Lyndel (by her own admission!)
is a little rotund to be riding, and we don’t want to tempt fate by inviting you up
here for a clinic when she’s about to pop!
We were lucky enough to have a great day in May with Belinda Bailey though
– with the rain almost holding off! Here’s Tamika building up to the
Prelim/Prenovice ditch palisade…
A couple of horses also benefitted from Nicole Elderton’s services – our local
performance horse masseuse who was with us for the day. We look forward to
welcoming her back in the future to look after your horse!
Tayasu Magic, or Mac to her friends, Lyndel’s one star mare, has spent the last
couple of months in training with Emma Mason. Together they have made a
great team, placing in almost every event, but most of all, they have had fun!
Magic came home last weekend, and is clearly feeling fantastic. Lyndel is itching
to get back on her, but is going to have to wait. In the meantime, here she is in
action at jump club with Emma- and huge thanks to Emma for riding her so well,
and to Kate for making her look so pretty at her events!!
We’ve made a few changes to our website – make sure you stop in and have a
look at www.willowsleap.com.au . In particular, we’ve added a secure shopping
cart, so you can pay for clinics, photos and merchandise either via your paypal
account or credit card. And no, you don’t have to sign up to paypal to use your
card – they just manage the security on the payments for us!
We’re also looking at closing our photoshelter account, and will instead be
hosting new photos for direct purchase off our own website. This will allow us to
keep our costs down – which means lower prices for you! We’re also continuing
our trial of putting the photos up unedited – it was taking Phil up to 14 hours of
editing time per clinic/event, as well as the 12-24 hours of upload time. So, if you
like your pictures, email us and we will edit/crop them to your satisfaction and
then you can buy them directly off our site.
Unfortunately this also means we’ll be shutting down our
willowsleap.photoshelter.com site soon – if you haven’t looked (or have, and
haven’t got around to buying yet), please do so soon or you’ll miss the chance!
Now, we’re deliberately not booking any clinics in at the moment – with two
weeks to go we’re too busy reading up on how to be parents. Even Frankie’s on
the case…
(and no, this wasn’t actually staged – Lyndel had left the book where she’d been
reading and Frankie snuck up for a snooze…)
However, we will be trying to get to ‘Jump in the Vines’ on June 29th at our
neighbour’s Fernances Creek – if you haven’t already got a place you’ve probably
missed out, but Sharon is taking waitlist places on nominate http://www.nominate.com.au/equest/event.asp?event=2701&eventlist=4
All being healthy, we will try and get to Quirindi ODE in July – and we might even
take some photos again…
Finally, it’s time for a competition – we haven’t had one for AGES, and we’re
getting withdrawal symptoms.
So, what are these, and where are they from?
Answers via email or private message on facebook before June 14th – correct
answers will go in to the draw to win a $25 voucher to spend at
www.willowsleap.com.au on whatever you want – photos, caps, gift vouchers
etc…
OK – that’s enough for now – hopefully see you all soon!
Lyndel and Phil – the Willow’s Leap team.
