POSTGRADUATE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES HOT OFF THE PRESS: LEVERHULME STUDENTSHIPS 2014 The Leverhulme Study Abroad Studentships support an extended period of advanced study or research at a centre of learning in any overseas country, with the exception of the UK and USA. The Studentships comprise: Basic annual maintenance allowance of £17,000 A partner allowance of £6,000 if a student is accompanied by a dependent partner Return air fare Baggage allowance. Further allowances – for example, assistance with overseas tuition fees and essential research costs – are payable at the Trust’s discretion. Studentships are tenable for between 12 and 24 months, and must begin between 1 June 2014 and 1 May 2015. Applicants must have been resident in the UK for at least five years and must hold an undergraduate degree. The closing date for applications is 4pm on Monday 13 January 2014. THE ULSTER BANK, BELFAST FESTIVAL AT QUEEN’S The Belfast Festival at Queen’s is a celebration of art and culture, providing a showcase for the finest artistic talent, from your doorstep and further afield. The festival attracts the biggest names in the world– everyone from Laurence Olivier to Jimi Hendrix has taken part. It’s Ireland’s biggest festival of its kind, attracts 60, 000 people from all over the world, and puts Belfast on the world map of artistic celebration.
