Events Funding: Application Guidelines BSECS is a Registered Charity, Number 299756 Purpose of Scheme The BSECS events funding scheme offers small grants up to a maximum of £250 to support conferences and other events which reflect the aims and objectives of the Society (these can be found in our constitution, which is available on our website at http://www.bsecs.org.uk). Funds are limited and so this scheme is competitive. To qualify for funding, applicants must show that the event is important and timely, and will be required to demonstrate that they will use any BSECS funding to support participation in the event by postgraduate and early career scholars. Applications will be assessed by the BSECS committee, and their decision is final and binding. Application Timetable Applications must be received by either 1 April or 1 October in any given year to support events taking place over the next 12 months. Applications will be assessed in a timely manner, and applicants will normally be informed of the committee’s decision within 60 days.
