POPULATION DISTURBANCES Population disturbances are the things that disturb nature, forests, and populations. Hazardous waste is one of the things that effect populations. Hazardous waste is harmful to humans and animals. It is a big factor in population disturbance. Places that produce hazardous wastes are industries, power plants.oil facilities, and hospitals. These places produce much of the world’s hazardous wastes. The hazardous wastes produced by these places can affect animal habitats and human populations. CFC’S are hazardous wastes materials. There where once used in refrigerators aerosol sprays and paints. CFC’S are now banned. PCB’S are also hazardous materials. They where once used in insulators and paints. They are also banned. High powered wastes is produced by nuclear power plants .It takes this wastes hundreds of years to become harmless. This is also hazardous to humans and animals. The increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is thought to increase global temperatures and melt ice caps. Global warming is a case of this effect on the planet. This disturbance can case drastic climate changes. Non-renewable resources can only be used once. Such as minerals, fossil fuels, and many other planet maid items that cannot be replaced. Human population growth could reach more than 14 billion by 2100. This would mean there will have to be more materials for items more recourses spent and more habitat destruction fore more homes/development. Habitat destruction is the permanent destruction of organism habitats such as clear cutting. Clear cutting is when say a company chops down a large amounts of trees and thus destroying organism and animal habitats/populations. By-Travis Morton
