Invitation to Bid for Disposal of Boarded off Motor Vehicles/Cycles, Office Equipment, Scrap Items,
and procurements under open domestic bidding F/Y 2015 – 2016.
Kumi district local Government is in the process of disposing old and used boarded off Motor
Vehicles/Cycles and Scrap Items and has allocated funds for Projects under Open Domestic Bidding for
the financial year 2015/2016. It therefore, invites eligible, competent and reputable firms/Individuals to
submit bids for the above named Disposal/procurement detailed below.
Bidding shall be in accordance with Local Government (Public Procurement and Disposal of Public
Assets) Regulations 2006.
DISPOSAL OF BOARDED OFF MOTORVEHICLES/MOTORCYCLES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT AND SCRAP
ITEMS.
Boarded off motor Vehicles and motor cycles can be viewed at the department of works and Technical
Services’ yard. The viewing will be coordinated by Engineers and will take place at normal working
hours from 30th November 2015 to 04th December 2015. The Schedule for Disposal will be same as
stated below but ends on 16th December 2015. Details of the above items can be viewed on our website:

PROJECTS UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Bidding will be conducted in accordance with local government public procurement and disposal of
public assets regulations 2006, of the government of Uganda. A complete set of Bidding documents in
English will be obtained from and returned to the procurement and disposal unit located in the main
administration Block upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of UGX 102,500/= for Open Competitive
bidding), UGX 50,000 for disposal of Motor vehicles/Motor Cycles. Bids under Open Domestic, should be
accompanied with a bid security of UGX 2,000,000 and UGX 1,000,000 for Security services in the form
of a bank guarantee or bank draft from a reputable financial institution. All monies to be paid to Kumi
District local Government General Fund. Account No. 9030005727811 Stanbic bank Kumi or the district
Cashier. A receipt shall be issued by the district cashier on presentation of a copy of the Bank deposit
slip. Each item must be applied for separately in case the firm for Projects under Open bidding / firms
and or Individuals for disposal, intend to bid for more than one item. Applications should be submitted
in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Tender For………….. or Tender for Purchase of ……………” and quoting
the reference number and also Lot number in case of disposals, clearly addressed to the Head of
Procurement and Disposal Unit Kumi, P.O.Box 44, kumi, not later than 11th December, 2015. Late bids
will automatically be accepted.
Note:
1. Disposals will be done on “As Is, Where Is” basis. The Best Evaluated Bidders will be expected to
pay 50% immediately and the balance two (2) weeks after. Failure to pay 50% reverts to the
second best Evaluated Bidder.
2. Kumi District Local Government reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and is not bound
by either the lowest or highest bid.
