ESC Presentation Submission Instructions SLIDES DUE: FRIDAY, June 5th, 2015 Session slides are a requirement of speakers at ESC. They are of utmost value to attendees, and will be made available to them to download and review. The slides also promote your session to the attendees. Below are instructions for mandatory template, formatting, and upload of presentation slides. Presentation Slides Submission Instructions Slides must be submitted using the following guidelines below: MANDATORY SLIDE TEMPLATE o All slides must use the official ESC_Speaker PPT_16.9.ppt as provided by UBM. LIMITED COMMERCIAL CONTENT o It is acceptable to use a product in a design case study or as a proof of concept for a design methodology, and many of the presentations ESC audiences view most favorably, do just that. o We also know that the audience responds most negatively to anything that comes across as a product pitch. A good case study that uses a real product in an appropriate manner to demonstrate feasibility or illustrate a concept is acceptable. o However, any presentation that contains too much ‘commercial content/marketing/pitch’ material may be subject to revision requests by UBM. FORMAT: PDF o The PDF version of the presentation slides will be made available to attendees for download and review. FILE NAMING: o Please use the following format for labeling your presentation slides: FirstFiveWordsofSessionTitle_YourLastname.pdf For example, for session titled “For Love and Embedded Software”, by Megan Pulver should be named: ForLoveandEmbeddedSoftware_Pulver.pdf UPLOAD: o Upload slides to the Box.Com widget located on the SPEAKER CENTER of the ESC website. o No confirmation email will be sent. You will see a ‘Success’ message appear if your upload was successful. o **If you need to make revisions after you have submitted, please do not upload via the Box widget. Email revised PDF to megan.pulver@ubm.com. This is avoid any delays in the process and ensure the correct version is provided to attendees. (Please note: Slide submissions that do not follow the provide instructions, template, or formatting will not be accepted and may result in requests for revisions from the UBM team or disqualification from the conference.) If you have any questions or issues uploading slides, please notify Megan Pulver (megan.pulver@ubm.com). Thanks! The ESC Team
