Step 3: After your assessment booklet has been marked competent by our assessors, we will process your
payment and you will receive your OLGR Interim certificate and a Statement of Attainment. We will send it
direct to your email within a day! This certificate permits you to work in licensed premises straight away.

Identification: We are required by law to verify your identity. It is very easy to load a copy of our

Unique Student Identifier (USI): New law effective 1 January 2015 require all students to have a
USI. It is very easy to do and is part of your registration. All recognised training providers offering this
course are required by law to collect this information. It takes 5 minutes. Go to www.usi.gov.au
Why do I need to do this course? If you want to serve or sell alcohol in New South Wales you need an RSA
Competency Card, to obtain a RSA Competency Card you need to complete RSA Training. This RSA course is
valid in New South Wales and Queensland.
Who should do this course? This course is for participants who wish to work in licensed venues throughout
NSW and QLD. It is suitable for people who are working in an environment where alcohol is served such as
in bars, hotels, clubs, nightclubs beer gardens, restaurants, airlines, functions centres or wineries.
Assessment marking



We will mark your assessment within 24 hours of receiving it.
You will receive an email from us advising whether you have passed the assessment. If you get any
questions incorrect, you will receive an email advising which questions to attempt again. You only
need to re-do the questions you got wrong. Not all of them!
Review the learning material carefully before re-attempting the questions you got wrong.
How you will be assessed
For this correspondence course, you will be assessed with a combination of questions.
There are:



multiple choice questions
short answer questions (free text)
simulated role plays
You are required to answer ALL questions correctly to be deemed competent.
Our Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing approved assessors are available to help via phone or email in
business hours. We aim to make your training as easy as possible.
