Remote Deposit Capture – Rules & Regulations
Mobile Remote Deposit Capture is rapidly becoming “game changers” for FIs. Institutions now look at mobile deposit
as a strategic channel to extend remote deposit offerings as they look for new ways to reach their customers.
Despite this newfound importance, the market and the technology are moving rapidly, making it extremely difficult
to make the “right” decision. This session will address the different risks, funds availability options, dealing with
duplicates, training end users, rules, regulations, and agreement issues that need to be addressed.
Speaker Information
Kevin Olsen is an Advisor for Payments Space Advisors, as well as the Vice President of Education, and IT Manager for EastPay,
Kevin manages the development and delivery of EastPay’s education services, including in-person classes, web conferences, and
webcast. Kevin develops programs, presentations, and articles designed to orient and educate financial professionals on
electronic payment topics. Kevin is the “Curator of Creativity” and brings enthusiasm and motivation to his presentations. Kevin
also oversees the network infrastructure and provides technological support for EastPay.
As an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Kevin utilizes the ACH specialty to demonstrate the many ways products work to
enforce the Rules and sound risk management practices set by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA).
