Sapulpa High School Bulletin for Tuesday, January 14, 2014 SNOWBALL CHANGE Snowball is rescheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2014 and will be held in the HS Commons from 8-10pm. Mark your calendars so you can attend the dance. ACT PREP CLASSES ACT Prep Classes begin Tuesday, January 14th… it’s ACT English Prep, on January 16th, ACT Science Prep and on January 21st and 23rd it’s ACT Math Prep. You must sign up ahead of time with Ms. Benning in W204. All classes will be from 3:15PM to 4:45 PM at the Woodlawn Annex. SNOWBALL DANCE TICKETS Students needing to purchase a Snowball Dance ticket can purchase one at Lunch starting on Tuesday (January 14th). Will only be selling them at lunch at the HS Snack bar. Students can also come by room 611 before school or after school to purchase a ticket. The tickets can be purchased at the door. Snowball Dance (aka Fall Dance) is on Saturday, January 18th, in the HS Commons Area from 8pm-10pm. CORNELL is offering a weeklong summer experience for all high school girls who excel in math and science. The Catalyst Academy for girls interested in exploring engineering and the Curie Academy is for girls interested in exploring math and sciences both take place from July 13th through July 19th Financial aid is available go to www.engineering.cornell.edu/curie for more information. BLOOD DRIVE Science Club - If you want to donate blood on Friday January 24th, drop by the table by the main office during lunch and sign up. PROM TIME! Prom is April 5. Prom tickets will be for sale in the mornings at the snack bar beginning Tuesday, January 14. Get your discounted tickets early for $35 dollars. Ticket prices will go up in March. Prom t-shirts will also be for sale beginning Tuesday morning. Shirts are $15 dollars. Each student who purchases a shirt will be entered into a drawing to win TWO FREE prom tickets. Students who are on the hold list must get those obligations taken care of ASAP. Students cannot purchase prom tickets until they are clear of all holds. If you are ineligible at the time of prom, you will not be able to go. INDIAN ED The Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) is targeting 11th graders, for a summer program on the east coast. All expenses paid the deadline for application is January 31st. See Mr. Rodgers for application, Woodlawn Annex, Room 203. INDIAN ED The College Horizon program is a great opportunity Native American students to get one on one help on the college application, meet other prospective Native American college bound students and get financial aid help. This year’s summer program will be on the campus of Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire. Application deadline February 4, 2014 – Come by the Indian Education Office in the Woodlawn Annex for application. COLLEGE/CAREER TECH ACCEPTANCE SENIORS All Seniors that have been formally accepted to a College or Career Tech, please come fill out a form in the Attendance office for your information to be displayed on our Senior Acceptance Board. You must bring a copy of your acceptance letter for proof. This will be updated once a week.
