AASFAA EXECUTIVE BOARD MINUTES REVISED SLATE OF CANDIDATES APPROVAL MINUTES MARCH 9 – 14, 2013 EMAIL PAGE 1 OF 1 March 9, 2013 Amanda Sharp, Treasurer Elect, notified the Executive Board that she was leaving the University Of North Alabama to take a position as a Training Specialist with NASFAA. Due to her new position, Amanda resigned her post as Treasurer Elect. March 11, 2013 Vickie Adams, Awards, Nominations and Elections Committee Chair, reported to the Board that Amanda Sharp had resigned her post as Treasurer Elect. She stated the following Bylaw, Article III, Section D: “Vacancies. In the event of a vacancy in the office of President, the Vice-President shall succeed to that office. Except for the office of President-Elect, and Treasurer-Elect other vacancies shall be filled by appointment of the President with the approval of the Executive Board. When a vacancy occurs in the President-elect or Treasurer-elect position, that office will remain vacant until such time as a new election can be held.” Vickie asked Phillip Nelson and Ann Campbell if one of them would consider running again since elections for the upcoming year were underway. Phillip Nelson declined nomination. On March 14, 2013, Ann Campbell agreed to run for the office of Treasurer for 2013-2014. The revised slate is as follows: Treasurer-elect: Darryl Jackson, Alabama A & M Kristi Jones, Nelnet Secretary: Felicia Lilly, H.C. Trenholm State Technical College Tammy Spratlin, Southern Union Community College Vice President: Marcus Byrd, Tuskeegee Lissa Powell, United Student Aid Funds President-Elect: Stephanie Miller, Jacksonville State Susan Green, Troy University Treasurer: Ann Campbell, Consultant March 14, 2013 the Executive Board votes were as follows: Sharon Williams, President – Accept Vickie Adams, Past President – Accept Kevin Ammons, President-Elect – Accept Phillip Nelson, Vice President – Accept Stephanie Miller, Secretary – Accept Ann Campbell, Treasurer – Accept With 6 of 6 voting members of the Executive Board voting to accept, the 2013-2014 slate of candidates for AASFAA’s elected official were accepted for nomination by the Executive Board. --Respectfully Submitted by Stephanie Miller, Secretary
