D. Barrit, and Y. Salih-Alj, “ Ralos Car: Solar Powered Car with a Hybrid Backup System ,” The 2012 IEEE

Symposium on Industrial Electronics & Applications (ISIEA’2012), 23-26 Sep. 2012, Bandung, Indonesia, to appear.

“Many race cars were built as universities’ and high schools’ projects; however, the concept of solar cars has not been developed for consumers more often. RALOS project is about designing and building a theoretical model of a hybrid car using the best features while making the most optimal design decisions by evaluation the best existing cars’ technologies. In Ralos car, the latest technologies within a reasonable cost will also be included in addition to some of its limitation as a daily used car. Thus we developed a study that includes an overview on the electrical and mechanical system of the most optimal car’s system in terms of efficiency taking into consideration some of the existing newest possible technologies in the market as well as a financial analysis to estimate the car’s cost and to further optimize it as much as possible.”
