Ph.D. Position in Speech Recognition at Saarland University The spoken Language Systems group from Saarland University in Germany anticipates the availability of a Ph.D. position in the area of speech recognition. This position is part of the Horizon 2020 project MALORCA, a research project on long term unsupervised adaptation of the acoustic and the language models of a speech recognition system. The research will be carried out together with a European consortium of high-profile research institutes and companies. Requirements: Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a discipline with a related background. Excellent programming skills C/C++, python and/or perl. Experience with Linux and bash-scripting. Very good math background. Very good oral and written English communication skills. Interest in speech recognition research. Salary: The position is fully funded with a salary in the range of 45,000 Euros to 55,000 Euros per year depending on the qualification and professional experience of the successful candidate. The position is full time, for two years (with possibility of extension). Starting date is April 1st 2016.
