FOCUS ON THE FAMILY STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God;
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His
vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right
hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory;
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith in
Jesus Christ is absolutely essential;
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a
godly life;
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they who are saved unto the resurrection of life
and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation;
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible
Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind,
is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Focus’ faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and
discipline, our Board of Directors is Focus’ final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and
application.

To achieve coherence and unity within the ministry; to assure that the work of the ministry is conducted in a
manner worthy of the calling to which Focus on the Family has been called; to maintain fidelity to the
announced purposes of the organization, even as described in its articles of incorporation; to advance these
compelling interests of the organization; and to foster a loving, supportive and redemptive work
environment within the ministry, Focus on the Family evaluates each prospective staff, in part, according to
his or her ability and willingness to subscribe to these principles and requires that each staff of the
organization enthusiastically embrace the Statement of Faith, the Mission Statement and Core Beliefs as part
of the employment, volunteer or intern process to affirm such principles in their lives, both in and out of the
workplace.

I authorize the investigation of any or all statements contained in this application. I also authorize, whether
listed or not, any person, school, current employer, past employers, and organizations to provide relevant
information and opinions that may be useful in making a hiring decision. I release such persons and
organizations from any legal liability in making such statements.
I understand that this application or subsequent employment, volunteer or intern service does not create a
