Dr. Dahl received the $50,000 Regent Scholars Award and Sanders received the Rhodes Scholar award for their joint research on Janus nanoparticles. Insert ORSP Logo Funding Programs Internal Opportunities Major Events CERCA One of the major events that can be found on campus is the Celebration of Excellence in Research and Creative Activity (CERCA) this event hosts 343 projects by 697 different students and 372 faculty mentors. It is a celebration of hard work put into the scholarly achievements of students and the faculty mentors. Authors Celebration Another main event is our Authors Celebration which recognizes the scholarly achievements of faculty members. This event highlights success in scholarly works brought to publication or performance. ORSP has the ability to allocate money from different resources to fund research, and other activities. These resources can be directly from the UW-System, Blugold Commitment Differential Tuition, research and scholarly activity support and the Center of Excellence for Faculty and Undergraduate Student Research Collaboration. External Opportunities Here at the ORSP we can help you to find opportunities for funding through thousands of external groups. If you need money we can support you and guide you through the process. We will help you to apply and receive funding for research. In the past, we have helped to receive funding through external groups such as the Smithsonian Institute, Grant.gov and NASA. Development The ORSP provides grants for professional development, renewal, and retraining of academic staff. Because it is characterized by innovation, the program can provide a variety of forms of support. Guest Lectures Provides in cost-share support to bring guest lecturers, artists, and other professionals to campus. Workshops and Special Projects Travel Supports opportunities for faculty and academic staff to enhance their effectiveness in meeting current and changing needs and roles in higher education. Visiting Minority Scholars and Artists Program Provides funding to bring distinguished scholars, artists, speakers, and other experts to campus to address topics related to equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
