MESSAGE FROM SUPERVISOR
Dear Parents,
Welcome to our November issue. It has been two months since the new academic year started. Students are
settled now and are aware of the curriculum needs. Regular class tests and assignments are being done.
Please note that all class tests and term tests are important. Constant reference work has to be done to fair
well in the board examinations. Students need to show the depth of knowledge when writing answers which can
only be possible with lot of reference work. Teachers are putting in their best effort to bring out the best from
students. “All work and no Play” makes life dull, hence our students are engaging themselves in extracurricular activities. Quran Competition, along with in-house community service, visits to the old age home
and the students are also planning a charity drive for cancer patients which will be a great opportunity for
them to learn the importance of playing the role of a responsible global citizen. They will also be participating
in the athletic meet which will add to the all rounder personalities the school aims to instill in our honorable
students.

EDUCATIONAL TRIPS
Trip to gitex
Gitex, as most people know, is an annual electronics bonanza with offers, promotions and incredible
deals on everything from phones to tablets to behemoth PCs. It’s quite literally a tech geek’s fantasy.
So it was a rather nice surprise for the students when they visited the World Trade Center on October
1st, during the week of Gitex. Technology lovers had a field day, running around from stall to stall to
drool over the latest cutting edge devices, while the media students handled several top tier
cameras and tried them out, dreaming of one day owning such magnificent creations! Several stalls
had jaw dropping offers, like cameras with three lenses for free, or bundled with extra kits and even
extra cameras!
There was even a class on DSLR photography, where we learned about the benefits of a professional
camera over conventional Smartphone cameras as well as received tips on how to operate a DSLR.
The students also received hands-on experience with several new innovations like super-AMOLED
screens on tablets, 8 core processors and GPU configurations like Crossfire and SLI.
It was an extremely informative and enjoyable trip; one that the students look forward to again.
TRIP TO DUBAL-THE DUBAI ALUMINUM FACTORY
On the 8th of October 2015, the entire chemistry students headed for the large aluminum factory
which is located in Jebel Ali Dubai. While over there the students were introduced to the process of
aluminum purification form its ore, starting with from the electrolysis process until the packaging of
aluminum. At the end of the day, the students were extremely excited and delight from this
educational experience.
Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar
The month of October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This month is devoted to raising
awareness and educating individuals about breast cancer and honor the thousands of women across
our nation who have been diagnosed, fighting or have survived breast cancer. The pink ribbon ties
together fear of cancer, hope for early identification and successful treatment. In our ongoing efforts
to support cancer awareness, outreach, and activism, our school was pleased to host a seminar on
8th October, 2015. We had Dr. Anuradha Deshpande come over and tell us about the symptoms,
methods of early detection, cures, etc. of breast cancer. There was also a short Q/A session followed
by the talk where students cleared any doubts they had. Informative leaflets and pink ribbons were
handed out by the sponsors. The students and the teachers also received goodie bags with various
beauty products included, all courtesy of the sponsors. The talk had been very informative and the
students left the hall feeling a lot more knowledgeable than they had been before.
Mentoring Report
Students of grade 12 are mentoring students of primary and secondary stage. These students will be
guiding them through several ways of having a better social life since they have trouble co-oping up
with their class mates. They will be guided in their academics also to score better grades.
