Austin traveled to Mexico City to present the resolutions of the Convention of 1833.

Anglo Americans moved to Texas for cheap land.

The Mier y Teran report suggested that Mexico station soldiers in Texas, encourage trade between
Mexico and Texas, and encourage Mexican and European settlement of Texas.

Travis and Jack were arrested b/c they were spreading false rumors that an armed force from Louisiana was heading to Anahuac.
What was the Fredonian Rebellion and how did Austin respond to it? a.
The Fredonian Rebellion was the first attempt of Texans rebelling against Mexico and they tried to make
Natchitoches independent. Austin responded by supporting the Mexican government and helping to put down the revolt.
