WORKING EXPERIENCE 1. 1st August to date; as a VOLUNTEER at Mwananyamala referral hospital in the department of obstetrics and gynaecology and with the Obs/Gyn team at Kairuki Hospital working at a specialist capacity involved in all routine activities in the department, i.e. RCH clinic, working in the wards, conducting ward rounds and partographic monitoring of women in labour as well as conducting deliveries in the labour ward. Also performing minor and major operations such as caesarean sections and laparotomies for hysterectomies, myomectomies, cystectomies and ectopic pregnancy. Post operation monitoring of patients etc. 2. September 2011 to February 2012, basic sciences study at Dalian medical university. March 2012 to May 2014; residency at the department of obstetrics and gynaecology, first affiliated hospital of Dalian medical university, including 8months in gynaecology (both inpatient and outpatient, with a good exposure to gynecology laparoscopic surgeries as assistant) and 8months in obstetrics (both inpatient and outpatient). 8months at the research center in the first affiliated hospital of Dalian medical university for experimental research designing, data collection and analysis as well as thesis writing, with the title “elevated levels of serum advanced glycation end-products in Chinese women with polycystic ovary syndrome” 3. August 2010 to August 2011; Internship at Muhimbili National Hospital, including 2months rotation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and two weeks rotation in acute obstetric ward. Other than obstetrics and gynaecology also rotated in general surgery for 2 months, internal medicine for 2 months, paediatrics for 2 months as well as one month rotation in each of the following departments namely; orthopaedics and trauma, psychiatry, paediatric surgery, plastic surgery and emergency medicine department. 4. Fully registered as a member of Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT) with my additional qualification of Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology recognized. Based on structural comparison, analysis of curriculum and assessment of learning outcomes my qualifications are recognized by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU). I have been a member of Tanzania Medical Students Association (TAMSA) for five years and participated in various scientific conferences organised by TAMSA each year in my undergraduate years as a member of organizing team and as a presenter. 5.
