TRIP T0 THE HISTORIC CITY OF YORK SATURDAY 12th September 2015 Meet at Leeds Train Station at 9.15am We will be travelling by train to York, which is a historic city in the heart of Yorkshire. There will be free time for you to explore the city’s streets and have lunch. We will be arriving back in Leeds at around 5pm. Meet inside Leeds train station at 9.15am outside the pharmacy Boots. o Wear suitable clothing and comfortable shoes for walking. o Bring your mobile phone. o Bring money for food and drink and for any visitor attractions etc. To sign up, add your name to the list on induction day on 3rd September. There are limited places so only sign up to come if you are sure you will attend. You could visit ‘The Shambles’, one of York’s old, narrow streets, walk along the ancient city walls, visit York Minster, learn about the Vikings, watch fudge being made and sample it, go on a boat or bus tour.
