The Hall the of Bulls
What is the hall of bulls also called
Rotund
 The Hall of the Bulls is also called the Rotunda. It is an extension of the entrance zone.
 It is about 20 meters long, and it varies in width between 5.5 and 7.5 meters.
 The walls are extremely white and calcite which helps show off the beautiful wall
paintings.
 The images in The Hall of the bulls are amongst the most striking in all of Paleolithic art.
 This extensive frieze is composed of three animal themes. Horses cattle cows and bulls
and dear.

Where do the figures appear.
Figures appear on both sides of this 30 meter long gallery.
What are the three panels in the axial gallery
There are three panels is the panel of the Chinese horse, the panel of the falling
cow, and the red panel.
Who or what are the drawings in the cave of
the left there is the panel of the red cows, the panel of the great black bull, the
panel of the hemione and, to the rear, the upside down horse.
The totality includes 161 graphic entites, of which 58 are figurative, and 46 are
groups of dots.





There are also 57 indeterminate figures that may be signs, but that also may be
sketches for animal figures.
