Summary:
The Director of Infrastructure plans, designs, and directs all aspects of Veritix’s technical
infrastructure. This role works closely with the SVP of IT Operations and other IT leadership to
provide direction, implementation, and support for IT solutions that support mission-critical
business operations. This position is responsible for all data center facilities, hardware and
software, LAN/WAN networking across the enterprise, plus systems and data security within
our infrastructure and out to our clients.
Role Requirements:






Provides strategic direction to team in order to execute in areas of database, storage,
networking, systems, and security in a rapidly scaling environment.
Manages simultaneous large-scale projects with an emphasis towards defect free, ontime, and on-budget completion.
Plans, designs, and directs software upgrades, physical support of the hardware,
hardware lifecycle management, security and the general care, upkeep and
deployment of integrated systems.
Manages telecom, networking, security, database administration, system
administration, data center operation and customer service departments.
Contributes to and assists with the implementation of the departmental technology
roadmap; plans changes to staffing and infrastructure as required.
Oversees the critical path level management of resources and systems.
Education and Experience Required:




Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management, Business Information Systems, or
equivalent required. Master’s Degree preferred.
7+ years experience in IT Infrastructure management and a background in Architecture,
Database Administration, Systems Administration, Network Administration, or Storage
Administration.
3-5 years experience managing IT team
Experience managing systems in a High Availability Environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



Ability to manage the performance and capacity of an enterprise function.
Strong knowledge of ITIL and Change Management systems and methodologies.
Strong knowledge of security best practices. PCI experience a plus.

Experience with virtualization and/or cloud technologies required. Experience with AWS
desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully interact as a leader at all levels of the
organization.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills with the ability to transfer technical
knowledge, counsel and mentor.
