C -46.60 TITLE: Coordinator IT Infrastructure Management QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, business, or related field; or equivalent experience in enterprise IT management or training. 2. Minimum five years combined experience in IT management or IT project management. 3. Working knowledge of a wide variety of enterprise computer network and communications technologies and concepts. 4. Knowledge of advanced principles and techniques of planning, training, budgeting and management of technical support resources and processes. 5. Minimum five years experience working with tier-1 technology manufacturers, resellers, and integrators. 6. Direct experience developing procedural and technical documentation. 7. Strong oral and written communications skills with experience in technical writing and live delivery of instruction. 8. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups. 9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Director, Information Technology Support and/or Designated Administrator JOB GOAL: To ensure delivery of high-performance, high-availability network and telecommunications infrastructure for all schools and administrative departments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Directs, coordinates, and manages all technology infrastructure services, including but not limited to all computer network infrastructure technologies, telecommunications infrastructure, wireless voice and data technologies and network security management. 2. Manages contracts and vendor relationships for all infrastructure-related technologies. 3. Manages District participating in the federal E-Rate program. 4. Manages procurement, accounting, inventory, and distribution of infrastructure-related technology to schools and related projects. Page 1 of 2 C -46.60 5. Leads development of specifications for formal procurement solicitations related to all technology assets within the defined area of responsibility. Activities include developing specifications and requirements for contracts and RFP’s, maintaining vendor relations and securing effective vendor partnerships, evaluating new hardware and software technologies to determine instructional or administrative effectiveness, analysis of purchasing statistics and trending to ensure data-driven decision-making, and developing and maintaining procedures to ensure timely payment and accurate accounting records. 6. Directs, supervises, and evaluates performance of department staff related to specified area of responsibility. 7. Directs and supervises contractors providing infrastructure-related installation, repair, and communications services. 8. Delivers training in classroom and distance learning environments. 9. Monitors school technical support staff performance to identify training needs and provide targeted instruction. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs related work as required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: This position requires light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
