Title: Reports To: Director, Product Innovation SVP, Product Development Revised Date: FLSA Status: March 23, 2015 Exempt Summary: The Director of Product Innovation will have broad responsibility across the major business initiatives touching all facets of the technology organization. This role will lead the development and ongoing operations of new and novel technology offerings that enables ticket sales, venue entry, and emerging clients and/or markets. Role Requirements: Manages and curates Veritix’s portfolio of innovation ideas to identify specific opportunities and general themes for further exploration and development. Coordinates research & insight from internal and external resources to inform and focus prioritization. Coordinates the development of work breakdown structures, project plans, epic and user story creation, and requirements definition to support projects. Manages status tracking & reporting for Product Innovation projects endorsed and sponsored by senior leadership. Facilitates communication and reporting of Product Innovation initiatives to internal stakeholders as well as external advisory stakeholders. Supports the measurement and analysis of Product Innovation results. Supports the communication strategy for Product Innovation across the organization. Serves as a key contact for customers and leadership to engage with the Product Team and builds strong working relationships, as needed, to support the goals of Product Innovation. Participates in ongoing innovation learning opportunities to aid further development of Product Innovation. Connect existing technologies/solutions to customer issues/problems to create a solution, which can be commercialized and generates revenue and income. Drive to innovate existing technologies to allow growth by collaborating with Product Management. Participate with the organization’s leadership to develop goals, strategic direction, financial plans and future vision. Provide leadership to the Product Innovation Team to gain support, create ownership, accountability, and active participation in decisions that impact the organization. Work closely with Product Owners, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Development, Sales, Client Services as well as IT Operations to mitigate risk and to ensure customer requirements are met. Coordinate solutions in accordance with internal business strategy, customers’ requirements, internal policies & procedures and standards to optimize speed to market. Education and Experience Required: Bachelors Degree in related field Minimum of 7 years technology management and/or project management experience Minimum of 3 years leading teams to successful outcomes Client facing experience with a consultative approach working with senior levels Experience in company-wide strategy and planning preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of ticketing industry preferred. An understanding of innovation, technology team/project management and entrepreneurship is strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong meeting and work session facilitation skills. Well-developed understanding of Veritix’s organization, strategy and operations. Ability to influence and develop teams of individuals across business units, functions and geographies to support the execution of the innovation strategy. An understanding of the ticketing industry and the forces impacting Veritix. An appreciation of structured learning and an ability to promote rapid learning with a tolerance for failure. Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. Strong ability in setting priorities, problem solving and multi-tasking in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. Excellent organizational, communication and people skills. Knowledge of risk management, fiscal accountability, regulatory compliance, to ensure a successful and sustained innovation organization.
