Larry Volkening, Development Chair Retired high school physics teacher Larry spent 30 years as a state and nationally recognized award-winning physics teacher. He has extensive experience in research, teaching and leadership and has been a program consultant for University of Idaho, University of Alaska and Idaho State Legislature. Currently, Larry serves as the Beaverhead County Planning Chairman, a board member of Bike Walk Montana and is active in developing the regional Montana Rx Trail Program. Larry’s relationship with art comes from 30-plus years of making stained glass artwork for pleasure and profit. He runs the Stained Glass Accent Artwork business located in Dillon and participates in shows around the region. Larry is currently finishing the Montana Artrepreneur Program offered by the Montana State Art Council and working on his certification as a Montana Artist.
