Public Management Reform Agenda Next steps - 13 16 July 2014 New framework terminology With the commencement of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act), new terminology for the resource management framework also came into effect. The program is available for entities to run on your own systems (it is being built in Lecotra and is SCORM 1.2 compliant). If you would like Module 1 for your entity but don’t have access to GovDex, please contact us at pmratraining@finance.gov.au and we can provide the module to you another way. Other matters Refresh your links! With the commencement of the PGPA Act on 1 July, many pages on the Finance website www.finance.gov.au have either been replaced or updated. We recommend refreshing any links in your browser’s history menu or favourites menu. This is particularly important if you find that links to pages you normally visit are not working. Resource Management guidance A dedicated Commonwealth Resource Management Framework page has been created and added to the Finance website. Among other things, the page lists information on the six topics around which the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework is structured. The topics include: Planning and Performance; Managing Risks and Internal Accountability; Managing Money; Using Money; Managing Property; Working with others. More information is provided under each of these topics. Entities can find out more about this page by visiting http://www.finance.gov.au/resource-management/ FFSP Act and Regs on Comlaw The Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Act 1997 (FFSP Act) has now been published on Comlaw. The FFSP Act retains a few elements of the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 and is now ensuring the continuation of a number of Government arrangements, programmes and spending activities. The Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997 that supports the supplementary powers of the FFSP Act is also now published on Comlaw.
