Up-date: computer functionality NTC faculty computers have not been functioning well at BSU. Computers are old. Some are getting new hard drives. No new computers until summer. IT is helping. Classrooms at BSU are not wired with electric and Ethernet cords for student use. Right now using power-strips to help with this. Testing is an issue, as Wi-fi is not always reliable. Lack of Ethernet plug-ins for student use in classrooms. Tracy Goodwin has a new computer (as of summer 2014). O: Purchased power-strips for faculty as a temporary solution. Remodeling will be occurring on the campus. R: IIA Remote proctoring policy NTC has options to test with the campus group, find a proctor, or use RemoteProctor Now. An university committee is currently in discussion, and recommendations will be sent to administration. We cannot develop a policy at this point, as this is not in our realm to decide. Remote Proctor Now is working well for on-line students. Needs to be sent out this fall. Will be revised if needed to match ACEN and CCNE standards. O: Remote Proctor Now will remain an option until further evaluation and discussion by a campus-wide committee R: IIA Old Business Faculty Resource Survey O: Ruth and Teri will look at the ACEN standards and revise the survey accordingly; Tiffany and Jeanine will work on the survey for CCNE standards. What purpose does this site serve? Students would not necessarily use this site—do we have data that the Facebook site is used? Jessica is currently the trainer for BSU/NTC students. Discussion regarding asking Sanford to see if we could use the Learn system. Next Meeting: November 17, 9:30-11:30 Meeting adjourned at 2:55 Submitted by Tiffany Hommes .
