Prayer at Grace
We have decided to introduce some method to the madness of prayer. We will still alternate between open prayer and a rostered on person to lead us,
however we will also be praying through a specific list of topics which we will rotate through so that we don’t fail to pray for something we should. The
person rostered on prayer can still pray for other things as they are current (i.e. world events, crisis in the congregation) alongside the other things. The
number next to the name of the pray’er corresponds to the prayer topic below.
The list is as follows:
Prayer topics:
1. Global mission – gospel to the world, missionary organisations, ‘choose a country’, pray for more workers, our missionaries
2. Prayer of repentance – confess our sins to God and remind ourselves of his mercy to us and his forgiveness of sin
3. Local mission – Box Hill, Melbourne, our witness in our various families/workplaces/etc.
4. Our Church – growth, evangelism, more people might join, we might love each other, different ministries
5. Leaders – Federal, State, Local, church leaders
6. The worldwide church – faithfulness, theological colleges, denominational bodies
