You will be required to travel to Wakefield on a daily basis and then will travel to site
which could be national.
Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering. This will be aided by an Assessor who will support
the candidate through their qualification.
Starting £ 8 K with regular increases based on performance by the end of your first year
of your apprentice you could be earning £ 12 K
Full time role with a flexible approach to working hours required. As we work nationally
please note that some early starts and overnight stays may be necessary. Transport to
and from your place of work to site will always be provided.
Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
Working with a team of senior engineers you will accompany them to sites to carry out drainage work. You
will be involved in all tasks and trained on the job as well as attend college on day release to work towards
your qualifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working as part of a team you will carry out a wide range of tasks covering all aspects of the job this
includes:
Carrying out drain surveys ( including lifting manhole lids, investigating with rods and cameras etc )
Feedback results of the investigation and having input into and eventually prepare reports on CAD
Carrying out repairs as necessary
General labouring and lifting work
Working in confined spaces
Being aware of Health and Safety and ensuring you follow all rules and regulations .
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Previous experience is not necessary as training will be given.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
You should be willing to learn from the bottom up and from more experienced members of staff who will take
the time to train you. You will be required to listen and follow instructions carefully and be prepared to give
100 % to the role . You must be able to work in a team and do what is required of you to get the job done.
You must be flexible in your approach to working hours and reliable. A desire for a career in Civil engineering
is essential.
