Job Location Hemsworth WF9 Type of Apprenticeship Rate of Pay Telecommunications £3.50 p/h (reviewed every 3 months) Hours of Work and Pattern Job Description Mon-Fri 9am-4pm 32.5hrs Supporting the team by providing information in order to complete their tasks by collating and recording information from local and web based systems producing in a final work pack/document. The work will involve occasional site surveys/client visits and general office duties when needed as well as the occasional working away from home. As part of the apprentice you will be working alongside and training with some of the leading experts in the Telecoms field. You must be willing to work towards a Telecoms Designer and Engineer by means of training that will be completed in blocks of 5/10 days with one of the leading Telecoms training companies. Training blocks will be every 4 to 8 weeks and should be completed within 12 to 18 months of the apprentice start date. (Training blocks may be altered for the right candidate) Training will consist of: Basic Principles of Communications Cabling Fibre/Copper Cabling in an Internal/External Environment Access Networks Systems Managing Passive Optical Networks & Air Blown Fibre Systems Design and Planning Network Cabling Infrastructures Understanding Planning Supervising and Managing Working at Height New RASWA (Signing, Lighting and Guarding) The right candidate should have the following Skills: Proficient in Microsoft packages and able to use web based systems. An organised and enthusiastic person. Good interpersonal skills. Self motivated and able to think on your feet Attention to detail.
