Fundamentals of Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Friday, February 20, 2015
Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association
OAKLAND, CA
This workshop is for you if you are the chair, coordinator, educator or manager of your
organization’s CME program, or are involved in planning continuing education activities. It will help
you to plan and evaluate both individual activities and your overall CME program.
The workshop will walk you through the fundamentals of designing educational activities and
assessing their impact on improving competency, performance, and/or patient outcomes. In
addition, you’ll learn the difference between planning and evaluating for both individual activities
and your overall CME program. You will gain insight into:
 CME accreditation requirements
 Management of commercial support and promotion
 Documentation required to demonstrate compliance
 Accreditation with Commendation
 Cultural and Linguistic Competency (CLC) Policy
Enrollment is Limited!
We limit enrollment in this workshop so we can offer an environment where attendees can easily
learn from faculty and peers. Organizations may benefit from sending a team of two or more
individuals who are involved with their CME program. IMQ offers a discount for each additional
participant from the same organization.
