Have students construct a multi-tiered timeline comparing the Aztecs
culture with student’s choice of another culture (Inca, Mayan, or
Mississippian)
Compare the Indian Civilizations
o Group of students research an Indian civilization regarding government
systems, social structure, religions, technologies and agricultural
practices and products.
o See model curriculum page 3 for ideas.
o Once finished with research, groups will compare (graphic
organizer/chart) the unique characteristics of the 4 civilizations
