communication. Basic digital camera handling,
composition, studio and natural light

computer processing and establishing a
digital workflow. Digital-SLR with dedicated

taken prior to or concurrently with PHO 382.

with emphasis on still life and tabletop subjects,
composition, and lighting. Digital-SLR with
dedicated flash required. Strongly
recommended to be taken prior to or
concurrently with PHO 382. Letter grade only.
Course fee required.

PHO 384 302 STUDIO PRODUCT
PHOTOGRAPHY (3)
Description: Studio still commercial photography

Description: Alternative photographic
techniques using traditional silver halide
processing and non-silver alternative processes,
digital processes including time-lapse
photography, video, social media development
and provide options with future developments
in photography. 1 hr. lecture, 4 hrs. studio-lab.
Letter grade only. Course fee required.

PHO 385 402 EXPERIMENTAL
PHOTOGRAPHY (3)
Description: Alternative photographic
techniques using traditional silver halide
processing and non-silver alternative processes,
digital processes including including
cyanotypes, van dyke prints and gum
bichromate prints. time-lapse
photography, video, social media
development and provide options with
future developments in photography. 1 hr.
lecture, 4 hrs. studio-lab. Letter grade only.
Course fee required.

Effective Fall 2012
Updating the course name and number to fit the new core photography sequence 100, 200,
300, 400.
PHO 383, PHO 384, PHO 385, PHO 488C:
Updating the course title to match new studio photography core and emphasis sequence and
structure.
Course content is not changing, these adjustments are only to change the course titles and
number sequence.
