Join the Association of Women in Property for a tour around the magical and
mysterious city of Manchester with the fantastic Green Badge Tour Guide Philippa
Cave. Philippa previously led tours with WiP introducing Manchester’s magnificent
women, the secrets of the Northern Quarter and the Whitworth St area.
This different tour will take us from gothic grandeur and sinister
slums, across a hidden graveyard, to reach the very beginnings
of Manchester. Hear stories of love, gangs, war, pioneer, Romans, canals,
corpses as well as plenty of Manchester firsts. We’ll see hidden architecture
and enjoy quirky tales involving potatoes, bollards, eyes, cheese & more.
We will meet at the Manchester Chamber of Commerce (151 Deansgate M3 3WD) for
drinks, food and networking followed by the walk which will commence at around
6:00 and last for approximately 90 minutes. Please remember suitable footwear and
appropriate clothing for the unpredictable British summertime.
The event will give you the chance to meet, catch up and chat with old
acquaintances, meet prospective business contacts and keep up to date with the
property and construction sector. This event is open to all property and construction
