Erasmus Mundus Special and Inclusive Education Visiting Scholar Application Form – Guidance Notes APPLICATION DEADLINE: 31st OCTOBER 2013 VISITING SCHOLAR ROLE: Network with staff and students – creating opportunities for further institutional networking and collaboration. Take part in activities for engagement with students and staff. Contribute to lectures, seminars, and talks at the institution(s) for students and staff. Conduct a short research project in relation to the Programme, and write a report of the experiences and research findings during the time of your visit. Act as a critical friend – interacting with and supporting students. Be invited/encouraged to present a paper on an area related to their area of interest and expertise at the programme’s annual conference. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Required English Language level (see link for information under subtitle English Language Qualifications – http://www.roehampton.ac.uk/admissions/erasmusmundus/special-and-inclusiveeducation/entryrequirements/index.html) Professional/academic experience in the field of Special and/or Inclusive education (SEN or SIE) Qualifications related to SIE/SEN/inclusive education/disability (either a doctorate or professorship in or related to Special and/or Inclusive Education) Outstanding academic and/or professional experience that will bring added value to delivery of EMMEC Commitment to actively participate in EMSIE (the programme) activities Be willing and able to spend minimum 2 weeks and maximum 2 months in two partner HEIs on the programme. Second stage: Joint Selection Board constituting all 3 EU partner institutions meet in January to review and approve applications against the consortium’s selection criteria. Third stage: All decisions are sent to the EU for approval between February and March 2014. Outcomes of this stage will be released to successful and unsuccessful applicants in May/June 2014. FINANCING THE PROGRAMME: The EU commission grants scholarships to the scholars fulfilling all above criteria, selected by the consortium. These scholarships carry out teaching and research assignments and scholarly work in the institutions participating in the programme.
