Quality Control Supervisor - Electrical

Basic Responsibilities
1.) Supervise the activities of, and perform the same duties as the
Quality Control Technicians. Ensure a team effort is being put
forth in order to meet the quality goals and objectives of the
company. Periodically review the QC Technicians pertaining to
job performance, and recommend salary adjustments or
disciplinary actions based on these reviews.
2.) Ensure existing quality standards are met. Develop and
implement new standards where needed. Establish and implement
an in-process inspection system that can reduce rework and
improve product quality. Establish and implement a certification
program for NETA, PEARL, ANSI and UL standards.
3.) Utilize company provided test equipment to verify products
will perform in a safe and functional manner before leaving the
plant. Ensure the product meets the intent and/or specifications of
the customer.
4.) Ensure test equipment is calibrated annually, and that it is kept
in a reliable and functional condition.
5.) Train new and existing technicians in the proper use of test
equipment, in the proper use of testing standards, and the proper
interpretation of those standards. Establish procedures to certify
test equipment was used, and standards were followed properly.
6.) Review large project work specifications and set up test and/or
inspection work scope at beginning of the project.
7.) Periodically carry a pager and telephone to be on-call for
emergency orders. This will occur six to eight times a year.
8.) Attend weekly Production Meetings.
9.) Other duties as prescribed.
10.) Clerical duties include but are not limited to: Maintaining
RGA data base, Q.C. test report data base and Q.C. release log data
base.\
11.) Implement, supervise and document quality programs for
company; this may be ISO or other Quality System.

Current Number of Subordinates: 2
NOTE: Applicants must have a minimum of 5 Years direct
experience with test equipment and test standards utilized by
Romac, and the industry at large. 2 Years previous experience as a
supervisor or manager. Must be able to read and understand and
work with detailed electrical test specifications, schematics and
diagrams.
Knowledge of ANSI, NEMA, NETA and UL standards and
processes are critical.
Knowledge of latest test equipment and measuring devices would
be very useful.
