Costume Hire 2014 /15 Costume Hire Policy and Care Instructions Keep Scotland Beautiful has a range of mascot costumes available to help raise awareness of local environmental quality issues such as litter and dog fouling. The costumes are available to community groups, businesses, local authorities, schools, and other bodies with an interest in promoting a cleaner Scotland. There are three dog costumes, one cigarette butt, one chewing gum and one bin. The costumes are suitable for adults of varying height and frame, although people with a larger build may find their movements slightly restricted in the more rigid costumes. The costumes are currently free to borrow, however, charitable donations are welcomed and can be made at keepscotlandbeautiful.org/support-us/donate Each costume should arrive with matching parts: One pair of character shoes One pair of gloves A set of arms A pair of trousers Please treat them with care, as they are expensive pieces of kit and we would like as many people as possible to benefit from them. Litter costumes are large, rigid and do not fold or bend, therefore a short wheel based transit van (or equivalent) is required. When not in use, costumes should be stored in a clean, dry and roomy environment. When in use, discretion should be used on the day to ascertain whether the weather or terrain is appropriate for the costumes in order to keep damage or dirt to a minimum. If the costume is dirty after use, it must be professionally cleaned before being returned to Keep Scotland Beautiful. Charges for cleaning lie with the organisation or individual who has borrowed the costume. Please notify Keep Scotland Beautiful if a costume is damaged, as soon as possible so that we can make suitable arrangements to have them washed and repaired. If the costumes are damaged beyond normal wear and tear, a charge will be incurred. Cancellations If you would like to cancel an order please contact us immediately on 01786 468 248.
