CHARITABLE STREET COLLECTION The Town Clerk advised that the Motor Neurone Disease Association were undertaking a Charity Walk from Sutton on Sea to Mablethorpe on Sunday 7th December 2014 with permission granted to undertake a street collection during the walk. CHANGE IN GOVERNMENT LEGISLATION IN RELATION TO PERFORMANCE IN RESPECT OF PLANNING APPEALS FOR MAJOR APPLICATIONS The Town Clerk advised that correspondence had been received from ELDC in respect of changes in legislation which may have an impact on ELDC in relation to performance in respect of planning appeals for major applications. Copies were circulated for information. 55. ENFORCEMENT COMPLAINT – LAND ADJ. 42 THE STRAND, MABLETHORPE Members were asked to consider and decide whether or not to pursue an enforcement complaint against the condition and state of land adjacent to 42 The Strand, Mablethorpe. Note: Cllr G Cullen advised that he was to meet with a planning enforcement officer to discuss the issue following the receipt of several complaints from residents. ANY OTHER MATTERS OF GENERAL INTEREST OR FOR INCLUSION IN NEXT AGENDA Cllr Mrs J Taylor requested that a future agenda item be submitted to the Planning Committee to discuss writing to the Planning Inspectorate to review the devolution of the granting of planning permissions to parish level. The Town Clerk advised that he had received the ‘gift’ of a bottle of wine on behalf of the Town Council at a function on 29th November 2014. The gift had been entered into the ‘gifts and hospitality register’ and donated to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal. The Town Clerk also advised that the Meridale Centre and the Town Council office had been designated as ‘drop off points’ for the Furnichurch Food Bank appeal. The meeting closed at 8.10pm 50-14
