YWCA of Hamilton, Ohio JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Front Desk Paraprofessional Department: Reports To: Status / Type: Administration Front Desk Supervisor Non-Exempt, Full- or Part-time (Regular/Casual) Responsibilities: Answer all incoming phone calls; provide requested information and/or route to appropriate staff member or staff voicemail, taking messages when necessary Assist residents, staff and visitors as appropriate Monitor and direct people entering the building Collect cash/checks, complete receipts, and drop money and receipts into safe Accept in-kind donations, complete donation form Provide daily and PRN medication monitoring as necessary Monitor clients’ daily interactions and provide staff intervention when necessary (deescalation, CAPS, poison control, etc) Complete Front Desk observation notes and incident reports when necessary Perform daily security rounds/inspections as assigned Lock/unlock building at designated times Perform monthly emergency drills and complete all necessary paperwork Perform clerical duties and specials projects as assigned Maintain sign-in/-out sheets for programs, residents, and visitors Maintain daily log of activities, incidents, monitored medications, client contact, overnight passes, etc. Maintain cleanliness of lobby and copy room Contact outside agencies when necessary (elevator, alarm, taxi etc) Monitor and enforce restricted visitor forms Enforce all YWCA policies with clients and visitors (quiet hours, visiting policy, etc) Maintain log books as assigned (elevator log, etc) Maintain YWCA forms as assigned (employment forms, sign in/out forms, etc) Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: 1. High School diploma required 2. Experience in Social Service field preferred 3. Courteous with a positive attitude 4. Able to communicate with public Revised July 2011 Page 1 of 1
