Operational Requirements and Specific Tasks. Contractor Requirements and Specific Tasks include, but are not limited to; a. Operational Requirements Read, count, add, subtract, write, and record numbers in English. Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Operate a 10-key adding machine by touch. Must have unrestricted physical dexterity of wrist, hands, and fingers. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. or more on a regular basis. Must be extremely detailed and well organized. Use a Point of Sale computer program (data entry). All work will be conducted in a locked room under constant video surveillance. Pass a background check for a LincPass (ID) Card, if required. b. Specific Tasks – Note – the specific tasks may be changed at the Government’s discretion in order to obtain efficiencies. Tasks may be performed independently by the Contractor, or collectively by the Contractor and a Forest Service representative – typically the designated Inspector. Organize Supporting Documents. Contractor shall provide all supporting documents to the Management Technician prior to each deposit. Make Change For Employees. Contractor shall make change for employees when needed. Combinations. Contractor shall be responsible for learning 3 combinations. Execute Incomplete Credit Card Transactions. If incomplete credit card transactions are found in money bag, the credit card transaction must be processed before the money bag can be counted and verified. Key Control. Contractor shall be responsible for two (2) drop safe keys and three (3) safe combinations. Money Bag Inventory. The Contractor shall be provided a current inventory of all locked money bags by the COR. The Contractor shall maintain all signed custody logs. Secure All Collections. The Contractor shall keep all collections in a secure environment at all times. 2. Contingency Workload a. Immediately following high volume holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day the Contractor can expect an increase in collections. This increase may affect normal working conditions. Contractor must continue to meet accuracy and efficiency standards listed in the Performance Requirement Standards. b. Contractor may expect low volumes of collections from December 1 through March 1. Many facilities are closed during this time. 3. GENERAL INFORMATION a. Training. Contractor is required to complete Collection Officer Training, all required safety training courses on site and to complete an annual IT Security training course online. b. Dress Code. Work will be performed in a business office environment; therefore, a proper dress code will be a requirement for the Contractor or subcontractor. A business casual type of attire will be acceptable. The following holidays will be observed: New Year's Day-January 1 Martin Luther King's Birthday-Third Monday in January Washington's Birthday-Third Monday in February Memorial Day-Last Monday in May Independence Day-July 4 Labor Day-First Monday in September Columbus Day-Second Monday in October Veterans Day-November 11 Thanksgiving-Fourth Thursday in November Christmas Day-December 25 Workload will vary depending on collections received. Collections received vary dependent on the volume of visitors received by facilities. Volume increases during warmer months and peaks during summer holidays. Volume also increases dependent on the weather. Hours are estimated at 16 hours a week starting the second week of May, June, July, and October. 16 hours the week of Labor Day. Additional hours will be scheduled as needed. The Contractor shall be available on Tuesdays each week, with the second day fluctuating.
