Autumn Newsletter We are Now officially an Ofsted Rated OUTSTANDING NURSERY A huge Thank You to all our parents and carers for your absolutely amazing support in all aspects of the nursery. It is with your support that we are able to succeed in creating the nursery in a way that continues to work best for us all. We are so pleased and proud as a team to be able to show off the hard work and dedication of all our staff. This is just the beginning, from the Ofsted we have lots of new ideas and exciting things planned. Please do let us know if you have any suggestions that will help us meet the needs of your child and their family. Party Celebration We would like to have a special party to help the children feel part of our special achievement. The party will take place Thursday 9th October 2:303:30 with games and party food and lots of dancing and fun. We welcome all our children, but if it is not your child’s nursery day we asking parent’s / carers to stay with children and to let your child’s key person know we can plan a very special event. GOLD AWARD We are very pleased to have once again received the Gold Award in Healthy Eating. The menus are very inclusive of our new baby lead weaning programme. In the October month all our practitioners will be training in Nutrition and Baby lead weaning through Kirklees. Please speak to a member of the team if you would like any support or advice around Nutrition African week was fantastic and it was so lovely to see the children dressed in their bright clothes. We had lots of fun trying new foods and the Pre – School children spent time making fruit kebabs which looked very tasty. A huge thank you to Enoma and Osariemen’s parents for letting the children try on traditional African clothes and we also enjoyed the music they brought. We also had a special Nursery visitor, who was a teacher from Africa and she taught the children some African words and songs. Our Topics For the Autumn Season:The children have lots of exciting things planned, they have began their Autumn topic and I have already enjoyed watching leaf printing and Autumn Collage making. The Pre – school children have used their ICT skills to take pictures and videos of the Autumn Leaves. We will also be celebrating Harvest time and thinking about Fruits and Vegetables. As November approaches we will have fun looking at Bonfire Night and Light and Dark. This topic will include Fire Safety. Please bring in any special Bonfire Night Pictures which we can display at Nursery.
