OUTSTANDING NURSERY
A huge Thank You to all our parents and carers for your absolutely amazing
support in all aspects of the nursery. It is with your support that we are able
to succeed in creating the nursery in a way that continues to work best for
us all. We are so pleased and proud as a team to be able to show off the hard
work and dedication of all our staff.
This is just the beginning, from the Ofsted we have lots of new ideas and
exciting things planned. Please do let us know if you have any suggestions
that will help us meet the needs of your child and their family.
If you would like a copy of the report please let a member of the team know,
it will also be available on our website www.hawthornsnursery.co.uk.

We would like to have a special party to help the
children feel part of our special achievement. The
party will take place Thursday 9th October 2:303:30 with games and party food and lots of dancing
and fun. We welcome all our children, but if it is not
your child’s nursery day we asking parent’s / carers
to stay with children and to let your child’s key
person know we can plan a very special event.

African week was fantastic and it was so lovely to see the children dressed
in their bright clothes. We had lots of fun trying new foods and the Pre –
School children spent time making fruit kebabs which looked very tasty. A
huge thank you to Enoma and Osariemen’s parents for letting the children
try on traditional African clothes and we also enjoyed the music they
brought. We also had a special Nursery visitor, who was a teacher from
Africa and she taught the children some African words and songs.
Our Topics For the Autumn Season:The children have lots of exciting things planned, they have began their
Autumn topic and I have already enjoyed watching leaf printing and Autumn
Collage making. The Pre – school children have used their ICT skills to take
pictures and videos of the Autumn Leaves. We will also be celebrating
Harvest time and thinking about Fruits and Vegetables.
As November approaches we will have fun looking at Bonfire Night and Light
and Dark. This topic will include Fire Safety.
Please bring in any special Bonfire Night Pictures which we can display at
Nursery.
