Division of Hematology Oncology
The Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute
The Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute and the department of Internal medicine at The American
University of Beirut School of Medicine and Medical Center, Beirut-Lebanon, are seeking
applications for the position of hospitalist at the level of Clinical Associates with clear interest
and experience in Hematology Oncology. Hospitalists’ duties will consist of medical/clinical
practice with direct patient care activities assisting oncologists in the care of oncology
patients. Applicants must have strong clinical background; additional specialized training or
experience is highly appreciated.
The newly established Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute has a brand new outpatient floor with
outpatient clinics, procedure rooms, and a large ambulatory chemotherapy unit. A brand new
inpatient unit hosts 36 beds and a state of the art bone marrow transplantation unit. The position
carries a dual appointment in the Division of Hematology Oncology in the Department of Internal
Medicine and at the Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute. Salary is commensurate with experience and
Lebanese tax laws and rates are very attractive.
