Charlotte Nuessle, E-RYT 500, BS, CYT
With professional certifications as both Yoga teacher (1980) and
as Yoga therapist (2008), Charlotte has made yoga accessible for
hundreds of practitioners.
Her background of teaching classes, workshops and private
instruction includes four years as Yoga faculty for Kripalu Center for
Yoga and Health; a teaching consultant for senior residential
communities for more than 18 years; currently a teaching consultant
for Breast Cancer survivors at Leila J. Eisenstein Breast Center,
Providence Hospital; 5 years as consultant at a hospital based wellness
program, Kapiolani Center for Women and Children in Honolulu,
offering courses such as "Yoga for Low Back Pain" for the general
public and for focused interest groups.
Charlotte is a dedicated yoga practitioner with a regular personal
yoga and meditation practice. Her bachelor's degree is in gerontology,
Thomas Edison State College, NJ.
Yoga Certification Background: Yoga Therapy certification, American
Viniyoga Institute. Training consisted of assessing individual's needs at
the physical, physiological, and psycho-emotional levels and adapting
a yoga program based on the individual's needs.
500 hour certification, American Viniyoga Institute. Training in the bio-mechanical
effects of yoga asana; how to appropriately introduce breath techniques and
meditative tools such as mantra and seated practice, and yoga philosophy to
integrate yogic practice in the most relevant way for the practitioner.
500 hour certification, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. The original certification in
1980 was renewed in 1993.

Center and originator of Kripalu Yoga; Swami Kripalvanandaji, inspiration for Kripalu
