Minute to Win It and More..: Work in teams to “compete” in creative, fun activities that test problem-solving skills and inspire creativity. Improv: Play theater games and learn the building blocks to improvisation, drama, stage presence and public speaking. Junior Engineers Club....Legos and More!: Join classmates each week to create structures based on a class theme, or your own inspiration, using many different building materials: K'nex, Contraptions, Legos, Marble Runs and more! Karate: Learn punches, kicks and blocks in a fun and controlled environment. No contact or fighting. Belts provided. Life in the Wild: Learn how local animals avoid predators, chase down prey and stay warm through games and visits with live animals. Mini Makers: Join the ‘Maker’ movement! Use your imagination to design and build from all different objects and elements. Mission Impossible: Can you get your team across before the other team does? Physically challenge yourself and team members as you face obstacles with loads of laughs and fun along the way. Musical Theatre: Build confidence through music, theater, and movement. Sing, dance and learn how to project and bring a story to life. Sculpt and Build: Learn various sculpting methods with Model Magic, self-drying clay, paper mache, wire and paper. Simple Science: Learn about force and motion, acids and bases and air and water through simple experiments. Social Thinking: Learn problem solving, personal advocacy and social relatedness to be successful in the social world. Sports and Legos: Celebrate the fall weather and play a variety of sports OUTSIDE in this Sports-Spectacular type class. During inclement weather days, the students stay inside to build amazing Lego creations. Tennis: Learn fundamentals of forehand, backhand, volley, serve, scoring and overhead smash while playing games and drills. Young Voices: Perform a variety of songs in this young chorus including popular, folk, and classic repertoire.
