taken from Directorate of National Accounts.

4. Method of Calculation
Index numbers of production quantities were calculated according to Lasperes
Formula weighted by 2007 base year as follows:
Q 
 Q Q  W 100
W
1
0
Where:
IQ : Index number of agricultural production quantities
Q1: Quantity of certain product in the comparison year
Q0: Quantity of certain product in the base year
W: Weight of product in the base year
Lasperes formula is also used to calculate the index numbers of agricultural products
field prices as follows:
 
5.
   W 100
W
1
0
Where:
Ip: Index number of agricultural products field prices
P1: Field price of certain product in the comparison year
P0: Field price of certain product in the base year
W: Weight of product in the base year
Noting that the weight (W) is calculated for each product by dividing its production
value to the sum of production value of all agricultural production in the base year
2007 where both formula above mentioned are used to calculate the index numbers
of production quantities and field prices of products main and sub groups as well as
the general index number of agricultural production.
