Fisheries Research, in order to provide information on the biology and dynamics of South Africa’s Large Pelagic predators caught by longline, pole and line fisheries. Responsibility for the generation of routine data reports for submission to Forums of the Regional Fisheries

Management Organisations (RFMOs). Provision of scientific advice pertaining to the sustainable harvest of Large Pelagic Predators such as tuna, swordfish and pelagic sharks.
