Spanish as a second language intensive program Spanish as a Second Language Intensive Course Description: The main objective of offering a course in Spanish as a foreign language is to teach Spanish as a foreign language and cultural skills of the Spanish-speaking world and introduce you to the culture and history of the Mayan area. This course is structured for students from every nationality, who wish to learn Spanish or improve their knowledge of the language. DURATION: The Intensive Spanish and Mexican culture course is structured around an intensive 4week course. It is combined with cultural and outdoor activities, excursions, and visits to wonderful places in the area. LESSONS: They are taught by qualified teachers with a degree in teaching Spanish who combine the teaching of grammar and vocabulary practice with communicative and cultural skills. The course is offered in various levels. Activities are tailored to the level of the group as a whole. If there is no minimum number of students from one level, the level for that course is not taught. LEVELS: A1: Starter A2: Elementary B1: Intermediate B2: Upper-Intermediate TIME SCHEDULE: Each level consists of a 4-week course with 20 lessons per week (a total of 80 hours); the hours of cultural activities are given outside the classroom. The hours in the classroom will be from 9 am to 2 pm and cultural activities will take place in the evenings and weekends. • 9:00 am. Grammar I. (Theory) • 10:00. Language Practice. • 10:50 h . Rest. • 11:10 h . Comprehension and Written Expression. • 12:10 h . Comprehension and Oral Expression. Cultural content: The course includes visits to the local archaeological sites, sink holes (cenotes), visits to local fishermen villages, an original Mayan ceremony and a temazcal (prehispanic steam bath) and very interesting activities to introduce the student to the local cultural and social aspects. Customized Courses for Universities and foreign companies: The University will also offer customized courses for groups, businesses, etc., on flexible terms (duration, time and content). These courses may be taught in any time of year and are backed by the quality of university teaching staff of the institution in various areas such as: • Spanish and archeology • Spanish and foreign trade. • Spanish and gastronomy. • Business Spanish 2 Cost: 1200 dollars per person Plus admission fee.
