Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.00am till 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am till
1.30pm.
Following recent demands in customer orders, we are now seeking a Laboratory
Assistant to join the team.
Key
Responsibilities
The laboratory assistant will be based within the materials laboratory working directly
with the technical team. The laboratory assistant aims to ensure adequate support of all
technical activities at Wrexham required meeting the necessary external and internal
technical/quality standards.









Performing tensile testing on steel and aluminium specimens.
Chemical Analysis of melt coins.
Monitor/checking of coating Slurries.
Preparation of macrostructure and microstructure samples.
Examination of macro/microstructures and compiling of reports.
Titration of Passivation solution.
Performing hardness tests.
Ferrite determination.
Wax testing.
Who are we looking
for?
Previous experience within a similar environment would be beneficial. On the job
training will be given. Experience within a manufacturing background would be highly
preferred however not essential. Excellent attendance and timekeeping. Be willing to
learn new skills and be computer literate
Qualifications
Ideally you will be educated to a good high school standard.
