Many thanks to those who were able to contribute to our building fund this month. The plate offering totaled $2, 678.00, and we also received another distribution from Anna

FEAST OF ST. MARY

The Feast of St. Mary, which we will celebrate on

August 13, is this week. This will be in anticipation of her actual date of August 15, which falls on a Saturday this year. Be thinking about any of your friends you’d like to invite, and what you are going to bring for the Rector to sample! The signup sheet is in the Parish Hall. And don’t forget that our open offering that evening will go to the Sisters of St. Mary in

Northern Malawi. We were blessed to meet their bishops at the Congress in Ft. Worth!

TUESDAY MORNING

BIBLE STUDY

We meet Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. We are still studying the Psalms, and visit and drink coffee, too! We say Morning Prayer at 11:00. Please join us in the

Undercroft if you can. We have to cancel the study this week, however, as the Rector has an appointment with his ophthalmologist.

FLOWER SIGN UP

SHEET

Our altar flower signup sheet in the hall in front of the Pastor’s Study needs attention. Please review and sign up for the flowers you would like to sponsor in the near future. If you have signed up for flowers, but not paid for the same, please remember to do so at your earliest convenience. Remember the cost is $50.00.

SUMMERTIME AND

TRAVEL

As we prepare to enjoy vacation travel this summer, let’s remember that

God our Father doesn’t take a vacation. If you wish to check out ahead of time the churches in your vacation area, please let Fr. Guill know and he can help you find an Anglican Parish while you are traveling.

In addition, remember that the Church’s obligations do not take a vacation either. Please continue your great financial support that you already have been giving to Our

Lord.

NEW STUDY FOR

CHRISTIAN

FORMATION

We have begun a study of a book by the

Christian ethicist Gilbert

Meilaender entitled, Should

We Live Forever? Thomas

Long of the Candler School of

Theology said of this book,

“Meilaender calls us to leave behind the futile search for meaning merely in an everextended human life span

Other Items and urges us instead to see life as a journey shaped in freedom by God, who crafts for us a hopeful ending that we cannot always see but can always believe and trust.

" Fr.

Guill has ordered a few more copies to have available if anyone would like to join us.

They run about $12.00 a piece.

NEW DAILY CYCLE

OF PRAYER

You will find copies of our updated prayer list on the table in the Parish Hall.

Please pick up a copy to use for your Daily Office and devotions.

Confessions: Please call Fr. Guill to schedule your confession at any time.
