Minutes of the June 16, 2015 Meeting
Valerie Brunner called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present: Sheri Jesse, Nick Kendall,
Andrea Trusner, Michele Stine, Valerie Brunner, Chuck Rutherford. Library Director: Maria Dent.
Absent: Terry Young
Changes to Agenda:
Brunner moved to add purchasing a scissor lift, new evaluation form for the director, and changes in
calendar to the agenda. No objections.
Agenda:
Motion Trusner to adopt the amended agenda. Second Jesse. Motion carried.
Minutes:
Motion Kendall to approve the May 12, 2015 regular meeting minutes. Second Stine. Motion carried.
Motion Kendall to approve the May 12, 2015 closed meeting minutes. Second Jesse. Motion carried.
Financial Report:
Motion Stine to approve the current bill list. Second Jesse. Motion carried.
Motion Trusner to transfer $41,575.73 from corporate, $4,286.90 from building and maintenance, and
$337.50 from liability insurance all into the operating fund. Second Stine. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Susan Martin addressed the Board.

Unfinished Business:
Sound system purchase tabled.
Motion Jesse to not replace the roof but follow recommendations for repairs not to exceed $8,000. Second
Kendall. Motion carried.
New Business:
Motion Jesse to increase the maintenance and repair contract by $75 per month. Second Kendall. Motion
carried.
Motion Stine to continue the non-resident card fee by using the tax bill method. Second Jesse. Motion
carried.
Prevailing Wage Ordinance (2015-2016-2) passed by unanimous vote. (6 ayes, 0 nays)
Motion Stine to approve using McGuire, Yuhas, Huffman, & Buckley for auditing services. Second Jesse.
Motion carried.
Motion Kendall to purchase 2 Early Literacy Learning Stations for the Children’s Department. Second
Jesse. Motion carried.
Motion Jesse to move the July meeting to July 21st. Second Trusner. Motion carried.
Discussion held regarding a public survey.
Discussion held regarding a Board vacancy.
Discussion held regarding furnace and air conditioning replacement.
Reviewing of closed meeting minutes tabled.

Discussion held regarding changing dates the library is closed.
